Shipping Container Conversions
Shipping containers are very strong, robust, highly secure and affordable. They are produced in their millions and are designed to carry up to 30 tonnes of cargo whilst stacked 9 high on a ship pitching and rolling at sea. This integral strength, coupled with the fact that they are mass produced means they can be affordably converted to a variety of uses and can provide a solution to various space and storage problems.
Green Initiatives has vast experience advising clients on container conversions. We can convert containers for almost any use by joining them together and modifying them by fitting extra doors, windows, insulation, electricity, air-conditioning units, and many other enhancements. We can also alter the height and length as required.
Past container conversions include: Off-grid homes and businesses, classrooms, art galleries, bars, games rooms, workshops & studio spaces, medical and gas storage units; chemical and fuel stores, stables, market stalls, exhibition stands, and even portable farms…
The list is continually growing and is only limited by your imagination and budget. Our experienced conversions team can work with you to grow your idea into a design by developing specifications that best suit your requirements and offering CAD layouts of your container, to map out all the features you’ll need. Converting containers is environmentally friendly because the containers have fulfilled their primary role of carrying cargo, and are then adapted for a secondary use. By converting them we are recycling them!
We also offer a complete bespoke flat pack container service where your design will be sent to our factory in China and completed to include full insulation, plumbing and electrics. The container is then dissembled and shipped direct to your site in ‘flat pack’ form where it can be easily reassembled, normally within a day!
If you have an idea for a special container conversion, call us today on 01932 355611 or email email@example.com and we’ll be happy to help you to develop your design from concept to a reality.
